Tree #305 is actually two Tiger Bark Ficus growing side by side — a little grove in one pot. Two S-curve trunks in the speckled bark this variety is named for, joined by dropping aerial roots, with canopies that merge into one green cloud about 16 inches across. The planting stands 22 inches tall in a Chinese zisha pot (12.5″ × 9″ × 6″) with a hand-etched river scene on a gold panel.

Tiger Bark Ficus is one of the easiest bonsai to live with — happy indoors year-round near a bright window, tolerant of the occasional missed watering, and quick to push new growth after a trim.
